Exchange Bank, Santa Rosa*
This two story 33,000 square foot office building (built in 2000/2001) serves as an administrative support and documentation center for the bank. The design of the new structure relates to the single story Exchange Bank building just next door. To accomplish this task, the new building steps from two to a one story building with a roofline similar in shape and color to the existing building. A red awning runs the length of the main level of the two-story structure and the second level windows are set back to create a strong shadow line to further emphasize the first level connection. The interior is modern, clean lines and a focus on warm wood paneling simultaneously convey a progressive outlook and respect for tradition, the true values of Exchange Bank.
